Ivajlo Dičev

    is a Bulgarian cultural anthropologist and writer based in Sofia. He teaches anthropology at the St. Climent of Ohrid University in Sofia and contributes to the Bulgarian edition of Lettre International and the Bulgarian daily Sega on issues ranging from the anthropology of media, Balkan cities in transition: culture as a resource, the impact of EU enlargement on national political cultures and communism and after: symbols, rituals, propaganda, power. He spent several years teaching in France and the US and is the author of a number of novels and short stories.
