Milena Bartlová

    is a Czech art historian, a specialist in medieval art and culture, the methodology of art history, and museum and visual studies. She a professor at the Department of Art Theory and History of the Prague University of Applied Arts. She has contributed to the collection of essays Krize, nebo konec kapitalismu? (Crisis Or the End of Capitalism?, ed. Jiří Pehe) and published the monograph Skutečná přítomnost: středověký obraz mezi ikonou a virtuální realitou (Real Presence: Medieval Painting Between Icon and Virtual Reality). Her latest book, Obrazy a události (Images and Events), features a selection of essays written for the Artalk.cz website where she is a regular contributor. .
