Robert Tappert

    is a photographer. While studying theatre directing at the Academies of Dramatic Arts in Bratislava (VŠMU) and Prague (DAMU) he decided to switch to photography and is currently a student at the Institute of Creative Photography in Opava. He lives in Brno and works as theatre photographer and photo reporter. His freelance work focuses especially on portrait and documentary photography with a conceptual dimension. #ID is a photo series showing damaged, crumpled, torn documents, IDs and passports found near the Hungarian-Serbian border, a kind of archaeological project (searching, looking for clues, selecting, detecting relationships). The series won the Slovak Press Photo main prize and first prize in the portrait category of Czech Press Photo.
