is a Slovak social anthropologist based in Bratislava. His research at the Institute of Social Anthropology in the Social and Economic Department of the Comenius University focuses on political and economic anthropology, social movements and transformations, nationalism and populism. He graduated in political science and journalism from the Comenius University in Bratislava and social anthropology at the University of Sussex. Following graduate research at the Max Planck Institute in Halle he gained a PhD from the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg; his PhD thesis was published in 2007 as Nation and Religion: The Politics of Commemoration in South-East Poland. His essays on the anthropology of politics, Slovenská ideológia a kríza (Slovak Ideology and Crisis), were published by Kalligram.
